YG Entertainment has trained, groomed and produced K-Pop legends such as SE7EN, Big Bang, and their female counterpart, 2NE1. These artists are known for their R&B and Hip Hop music and from them, we have seen many unique music videos representative of the pop-culture in Korea today: energetic, edgy, and refreshing. Why not borrow some of that creativity and carry it over to walling?

The Romanticized Scenic
Big Bang’s Koe wo Kikasete (Let Me Hear Your Voice) is a brilliant example of a video that features gorgeous cinematography. The glittering bokeh lends a sense of elegance. Sharp black silhouettes, placed against a soft backdrop, create an intense contrast. With the right use of textures, colours, and blending, this same aesthetic can be achieved in a wallpaper.

The use of lens flare and the subdued, purple-hued, wintry set evokes a feeling of nostalgia.
The Advertorial
Big Bang/2NE1’s collaboration video, Lollipop, is filled with vivid colours and extreme street fashion that has carved a distinct niche for Asia's designers. Multi-layered jackets and vests clash against bold, whimsical accessories in a funky retro vibe, updated from its 80's roots.

Electric colors and loud, mismatched clothing create a playful wall that isn't afraid to shine.

Creating a wall using the concept of an MV does not necessarily mean replicating an entire scene. Instead, try using some of the MV’s visual characteristics to simulate its atmosphere. Music videos are usually bursting with ideas. So the next time you need something exciting to help kick your creative motor into high gear, you know where to look!
